Mountain Village, Colorado Mountain Village was originally a planned development located on the south side and mid-mountain founded in 1987 before it became the youngest and wealthiest town in Colorado. It incorporated as a town in March of 1995. Telluride, the old historic town, and Mountain Village, the new high-end town, are the best of all worlds with everything from funky traditional to sophisticated luxury. They are connected by a gondola that was built in 1996. The ride from town to town takes less then 15 minutes and is the only transportation system of its kind linking neighboring towns. The gondola is free 275 days of the year. Once you arrive in Telluride or Mountain Village, park your car and use the free gondola or the free public transportation to get wherever you want to go. Four distinct and integrated areas of Mountain Village are the Village Core, Ski-in/Ski-out, Golf Course and The Meadows. The commercial area of Mountain Village is located in the Village Core and is near ski lifts. Lift 10 is near the Ski-in/Ski out residential area. Houses are scattered around the fairways at the world class Golf Course. The Meadows is where much of the work-force live. The condos in The Meadows are deed-restricted. With an elevation of 9,545 feet above sea level, the views in Mountain Village are stunning and spectacular. Incredible mountain peaks up to 13,000 feet surround the town. Today’s population is about 1,200. | | | | | |

Selling Your Home >Your Selling Strategy
Have your housing needs expanded along with your income? Are you are thinking about selling your property and looking for a new home? The transition can be accomplished smoothly by using a systematic approach.
As part of your selling strategy, it is advantageous to have your present house under contract before you begin a serious search for a new home. This will make you attractive to sellers in two ways. You won't have to include a contingency in your offer to cover the sale of your present home. You will strengthen your negotiating position by improving your financial circumstance with an accepted offer. In a situation where there are multiple offers on the new home, the chances of your offer being accepted are better if it isn't dependent on selling another house before you can make a move.
