ONCE YOU LAND
Once you’ve arrived in Telluride or Mountain Village it is very easy to get around without a car. The towns are small and are oriented toward pedestrians. You can travel between the two towns on the fast and free gondola or hop on one of the free shuttle services. You will find both Telluride and Mountain Village offer a free shuttle service.
Telluride and Mountain Village were designed for pedestrians. Walking around either town is the best way to explore the sites and shops. Be sure to wear sturdy walking shoes as some of the streets, sidewalks and plazas are uneven.

TELLURIDE
Free Shuttles
• In-town loop every 20 minutes from 7 a.m. to midnight daily. Detailed schedules are on each of the vehicles.
• Some of Telluride's buses run on 100% biodiesel, a vegetable-based, reduced-emission fuel.
• Regional transportation to Lawson Hill and Norwood is available.

• Free off-season shuttle between Telluride and Mountain Village (when the gondola is closed).
Home Safe
• Free late-night shuttle service that is available from downtown Telluride for those who feel they have imbibed too much to drive.
• Pick ups are Friday and Saturday 12:45 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. in front of the county courthouse (December 15-April 7).
Free Parking
• Carhenge, off West Pacific Avenue in Telluride (no overnight parking) at the base of Chair 7
• South end of Mahoney Drive near the west entrance to Telluride (no overnight parking)
• Two-hour parking on some northern side streets in Telluride
Solar-Powered Parking
• Solar-powered parking meters stand mid-block on Telluride's main and side streets.
• Fifty cents buys one hour; three-hour max.
• Parking enforced 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Saturday; free on Sundays and holidays.
• Meters accept coins, tokens or parking cards. Tokens and cards available at the Telluride Marshal's Department, 970.728.3818.
• Read parking signs carefully.
MOUNTAIN VILLAGE
